this is not a poem.

it's been a run on sentence kind of day
a couple of days ago i took a heavy clunk to the head
which is up there on the list of
really bad things that should not happen to someone with a neurological disease
and found myself dyslexically writing certain letters of the alphabet backwards afterwards.
troubling.

i am too sad to write.
maybe it's the year of the rabbit, which is said to take issue with my kind.
maybe it's pms.
maybe it's that life is so damn hard all the time.
it's so hard sometimes, that All i can do is write.
and spit it out onto paper
like puddled black spattered ink.
as if it's my comment on this shitty day.

  13. I was so sad to hear about this loss to the ME community, and of course to Amberlin's close friends & family. What a tragic loss of someone so young! My thoughts are with all of you who were close to her.

Amberlin, I am so glad you are now at peace - I know what a hard thing that has been for you to find, because I have that same struggle. Rest gently.

  14. Well, I wish this hadn't happened. Amberlin, thank you so much for indulging me in my endless chicken talk and photo shoot visits and thoughts about "interesting" coops. Thank you for asking me for advice about getting ducks and for going ahead and ignoring my advice and doing what your heart told you to do. They're adorable and you were right. When I think of you I will remember you holding that tiny baby runt goat and beaming while standing next to your daddy. I love that photo. Fly like a bird, Amberlin. Show them how it's done.

  15. Amberlin, it is so interesting, because I dreamt of you some weeks back...and I told you that. You entered my dream and we were in Hawaii together. In the dream, you were driving the car and I was a passenger. We were in this beautiful, blissful paradise together.

I hope that is where you are now.

Merge into the Light. Release all attachments. Release all pain. Be free. We love you.

  18. Hi, it's Clayton, a friend of hers. sorry, the info doesn't really exist yet. everyone's still in shock. her parents went out of town to grieve. there will be a memorial service in a few weeks I think. we're going to try to announce it early enough to make sure that no one who wants to go will miss it. love to all. sorry.

  20. Amberlin, my soul is shattered. You were such a giving person, I am so thankful to have met you. I spent Thanksgiving and Christmas with you last year, and I am going to be so sad this year remembering the warm times we shared together. I love you, forever.
